The owners of Branched Oak Farm have plans to open a farm-to-table cafe in Lincoln.

Doug and Krista Dittman intend for the cafe to feature mostly products from their farm near 21st and Q Streets in Lincoln. They also want it to be part of the Jayne Snyder Trails Center at Union Plaza, hoping to attract bicyclist and hikers.

The restaurant would include a program for people who want to learn about organic farming — Branched Oak is certified organic — and also the chance for other local food operators to sell products at the restaurant.

The couple hopes to have the restaurant open by summer and are looking for someone to run the business.
