Our family have always been keen compost fans so we always knew it was good for the soil. But it’s real value was driven home to me through a soil workshop I attended recently. It was based on the works of Dr. Elaine Ingham and conducted by the clever & funny Merri of Merri Bee Organics.
Good compost brings the soil and plants to life in many ways synthetic fertilisers can’t. When mixed in with soil, it creates an environment where earthworms, fungi, bacterias and other soil microbes can live and multiply happily.
