Alexis Lorence, junior at UNL and trip leader at the Outdoor Adventures Center (OAC), has loved the outdoors since childhood. Throughout her life, her appreciation for her environment has grown more deeply, inspiring her to pursue two degrees in environmental studies and Spanish, as well as involvement with UNL’s Environmental Leadership Program and Environmental Sustainability Committee. In order to diversify her knowledge, experience and skill set in the outdoors, Alexis took her adventure to Hawaii this summer to intern on an organic farm.
