A few days ago I visited a farmer, mama Allen, who gave me land for my demo plots last time I was in Uganda. On my demo plots I used biochar to grow beans. Before I left we harvested the beans and mama Allen got to see the effect that the biochar had on the harvest. It was the best harvest she’s ever seen. She looked positively surprised and was eager to learn how to make it at home and start using it on her land. When I saw her eagerness I decided to take it to the next level – talk her into grow….
