This weekend I (and my visiting friend Phoebe) walked on some two thousand plus year old walls. I had previously viewed them, but wanted more. So, I took the tram out past Sultanahmet (the area where the main historic artifacts of Istanbul live), to make it to the edge of where Constantinople would be. Since its time as the capital of the Roman Empire, Constantinople has been surrounded by massive stone walls.
