Making Changes To Save Water | Great Basin Grown

Drought is not unique to California. Currently, parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah are in extreme or exceptional drought, while much of the Western United States is in severe drought.

 As much of the United States feels the effects of less than average water, it is imperative that we conserve as much water as possible. Last time I wrote, we discussed drip irrigation and the benefits and possible drawbacks of utilizing this watering system. There are many other ways to conserve water and become more efficient. Cover crops, rotational grazing, and mulch are also fantastic ways to improve soil and retain moisture already found in the ground.
