I am sitting in the Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin after 3 days of intensive hands-on learning at the Aquaponics Masters Class offered by industry leading supplier and sustainable agriculture evangelists Nelson+Pade. The energy created by this event was further enhanced by Wisconsin’s advance into the final four on Saturday night after defeating Arizona. Those attending the events went home with lots of information and excitement and I repeatedly heard attendees say they couldn’t sleep because their minds were abuzz with excitement after absorbing all the information and ideas that were shared during the event. I say shared because it was clear that the founders of Nelson+Pade, John Page and Rebecca Nelson, were not just offering an infomercial for their products, but rather are true believers who want to expand and vertically build the budding aquaponics industry (puns intended). I use the word evangelists as I think this best describes the energy and openness they cultivated during the 3 days of classroom and hands on training.
