Embrace the community of economy | The Displaced Farmer

Every year, I’m up about being frugal in how we garden.  And guess what?  I’m doing it again! Have you seen the prices out there?  They scare the stuffing out of me.  It gets more and more expensive each year to have a nicely landscaped yard or decorated deck or patio.  No matter, it can be done with economy in mind.

Webster defines frugal as characterized or reflecting economy in the expenditure of resources.  So, if we judiciously use what we have to get the most out of it we can then we’re frugal?  Most definitely but there’s ways to do so in the urban garden.  Mostly though, it’s about community.
